Klein aux Vieux Remparts Malice d'Epices Alsace 2009
The Pinot Gris, Muscat and Gewurztraminer are blended slowly all along the years. When there is enough volume we blend it with the new vintage Pinot Blanc. We only do it when the Pinot Blanc has a good acidity that will bring a freshness able to balance the aromas and sugar from the first blend.
Tasting Notes: The Pinot Blanc, thanks to its freshness, is bringing structure, a spine to the blend. It is spicy, with a floral character. Pairing: Any spicy food, especially when the hot spices, such as pimento, are calling for a fresher wine able to calm down the mouth. Color: white Varietal: 35% Gewurztraminer, 30% Pinot Gris, 30% Pinot Blanc, 5% Muscat Bottle Volume (ml): 750 Appellation: Alsace Producer Website:n/a

As an Extra Brut, no sugar is added during the disgorging, resulting in a very dry wine. A fabulous wine.
