Making Muscat is an old tradition in Beaumes de Venise. Its fame spreads thanks to the Pope of Avignon, around the year 1300. Two villages are allowed to produce Muscat: Beaumes de Venise and Aubignan. The total surface is around 350 hectares for a production of 10 000 hectoliters. This particular Muscat is made from 80 year old vines.
Tasting Notes: Nice roundness on the palate combined with a perfectly balanced finish, with notes of Muscat, litchis, mango, pear and citrus fruits. The persistency on the palate is really fresh. Pairing: Enjoy it as an aperitif, with foie gras, fig compote or desserts with fruits. Southern Rhône Valley above the village of Gigondas. Vines planted on terraces in the foothills of the famous “Dentelles de Montmirail", at a height of 1200 feet. Partially aged in barrels, the rest being aged in large oak casks.

The soil is made of big round pebbles where vines can nevertheless take root. The big pebbles keep the heat of the day and release it at night, benefiting the vines. Aged in oak casks for 14 months.
Tasting Notes: A deep purple colour, some delicate red fruits and fig aromas on the nose. On the palate, velvety aromas of black fruits, mint, liquorice, garrigue. Pierre Amadieu Les Caladières Crozes-Hermitage 2010
The vineyard is located in the northern part of the Rhône Valley with a wide range of soils making for complex aromas and great bottles.
Tasting Notes: Deep red color. On the nose, blackcurrant and raspberry fragrances with a hint of violet are very typical of Syrah wines, moving to truffles and mushrooms after a few years. Delicate, the palate is silky but powerful, showing red fruit notes. Tannins are round and soft. Pairing: Charming, it will match perfectly with a roasted beef in sauce or a veal escalope on a bed of fresh vegetables.
