Domaine Arnoux Père & Fils Les Pimentiers Savigny-lès-Beaune 2009
Between the hills of Corton and Beaune, the landscape opens up like a map unfolding. The hills of the Côte de Beaune recede a little on either side of the little river Rhoin. These vineyards are of ancient lineage. For much of their history, they belonged to the domaine of the Dukes of Burgundy, to neighbouring religious houses, or to the Knights of Malta. An imposing 14th century castle testifies to the appellation's aristocratic qualifications. The AOC status dates from 1937.
Tasting Notes: Deep color. Elegant bouquet, pretty, powerful, dominated by red fruits that evolve after a few years to forest floor notes. Round with low acidity level, this Savigny is elegant, revealing the finesse of the Pinot Noir. Pairing: Red or white meat, venison. Color: red Varietal: Pinot Noir Bottle Volume (ml): 750 Appellation: Savigny-lès-Beaune
